Welcome to HoustonOpenMic.com!   "Is a 'Jam' the same thing as an 'open mic'?"     An 'Open Mic' (OM) is an acoustic event where the player performs by himself or with his own group.  At a 'Jam', a band is provided, or others may join in at will.   A master map appears on the right. Sometimes the venues decide to change their schedules without telling us. After you've played, return here to review the event. We will forward your comments. All reviews are screened for language and ad hominem remarks before posting. We will not reveal your identity without your permission.   Venue Owners - Read your reviews!  Even if they are less than stellar, it provides you an opportunity to improve your event.  We will only post informative comments.
